Fuck The Rolling Stones

Can you believe these assholes?

"Ready to drop in the coming weeks, a new Bush-bashing tune from the ROLLING STONES: "Sweet Neo Con."

"It is direct," Mick Jagger says with a laugh to fresh editions of NEWSWEEK.

"Keith [Richards] said, 'It's not really metaphorical.' I think he's a bit worried because he lives in the U.S." Jagger explains. "But I don't."

The full lyric also mocks National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice.

News about the song surfaced a few weeks ago with many expecting that it would not make the finally cut on the new CD, A BIGGER BANG."

Yep, that's just what we need, isn't it? A nice little morality lesson from a former heroin addict and a guy who both ate a Mars bar from Marianne Faithfull's yeasty snatch and got ramrodded by David Bowie.

Fuck them. Who the fuck are they?

Oh well, he might have been on drugs, but surely he did not manipulate, lied, started an unnecessary war based on cooked-up false pretenses which have caused tens of thousands deaths and increased terrorism etc. etc.

Besides isn't democracy about criticizing power too, or is it about sheepishly follow with blind loyalty?

See what Theodore Roosevelt would say: “To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Ok, maybe one could say: "but he is not even American". If so, I am afraid that when a country acts like an empire, with its actions having global consequences, one cannot expect that only citizens speak up.
